Principal's Message

It is truly my honor and privilege to serve the students and community of Seaford as the Principal of Seaford Middle School. I have high expectations for the students academically and behaviorally. I, along with the faculty and staff, are working on raising achievement and creating more rigor in all of our classrooms. I do not believe in putting ceilings on students and feel if a student is willing to work hard he or she can achieve any goal in his or her life. My goal is for students to enter SMS as elementary students in 6th grade and and as they cross "the bridge" as an exiting 8th grader are prepared for Seaford High School. Everything in this building will operate on the premise of one word that guides all of our behavior expectations and that one word is; RESPECT! Everyone will respect each other, the building and the rules, anything less is not acceptable. We are transitioning and working towards becoming not only the premiere middle school in Western Sussex County but the premiere Middle School in the entire State of Delaware!  By working hard, being respectful and demanding excellence together, we will continue to set the standards!
